On this week's episode of Parenting Roundabout's entertainment-themed Round 2, we chat about the Emmys, the second episode of this season of Dancing With the Stars, and four more episodes of Sports Night. Here's your road map:

00:51 The Emmy Awards — We live-tweeted the ceremony and the red carpet, and give some thoughts now about Jimmy Kimmel's hosting, our general lack of stakes in the winners, and some rules that might help in the future. (Mentioned: Terri's 10-point scale for fancy dresses)

16:00 Dancing With the Stars — On the first of two episodes this week, there were no eliminations, just lots and lots of dancing and props and gimmicks and fire and zombies and what-all. Still, there's no disguising total lack of game. We predict "Go, Diego, Go" will be prophetic. You can watch all the dances on the Dancing With the Stars site. ... UPDATE: And indeed, as predicted, Jake was the first to depart, and looked way more comfortable, confident, and invested in his goodbye speech than he ever did on the dance floor. So no harm done there. Not sure we really needed a two-hour retrospective of the show's first two episodes to deliver that news, though.

27:08 Sports Night At the end of a longish podcast, we have a quick chat about our latest four episodes in our Sports Night watch: "The Quality of Mercy at 29K," "Shoe Money Tonight" (including the poker game above), "The Six Southern Gentleman of Tennessee," and "Smoky." (Mentioned: Discussion on Alan Sepinwall's blog about how Jeremy's poker game gambit should have ended.)

For next week's episode, we'll be watching Sports Night episodes "Small Town," "Rebecca," "Dana and the Deep Blue Sea," and "Sally" (watch along on ABC.com) as well as Dancing With the Stars and some new fall TV. But we'll be waiting to start Season 2 of The West Wing when the West Wing Weekly podcast gets to it.
